The Artistic Adventure of 34 Guitars

I am Dave, owner of 34 Guitars, a former air traffic controller for the US government and Air Force Veteran who spent 33 years in service. Throughout my career, I always found time to pursue my creative passions, which included building and painting custom motorcycles, woodworking, and playing guitar as a hobby.

After retiring from the government, I enrolled in a luthier school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to learn how to build electric guitars. I spent three years perfecting my skills and building guitars, which ultimately led me to turn my passion for creativity into a semi full-time adventure of building and selling guitars.

The name of my guitar company is 34 Guitars. It originated from a long-running joke of mine, where I would answer "34" whenever someone asked me "guess what?" I explained this to my wife when I was brainstorming ideas for a brand and logo, and while we were walking around a lake in our neighborhood, she suggested that "34" should be the name of my guitar company. The coincidence was that when we moved from Albuquerque to Bellingham, Washington, our house number was 34, and that is where my small shop is currently located.

At 34 Guitars, I pour my heart and soul into building exceptional guitars that are not only beautiful but also perform exceptionally well. I use only the finest materials and employ expert craftsmanship to create instruments that are truly unique and tailored to each customer's needs. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, I am committed to providing you with the highest level of service and a guitar that you'll be proud to play for years to come.

I have a home workshop and do not list the address to keep traffic to a minimum, call me, we can set something up.
